CURRENTLY ON EXHIBITION – “FINE ART / FINE DINING – THROUGH THE DECADES” – at the prestigious Rossmount Inn – Restaurant & Bar.
A collection of paintings, limited edition prints, 3D artworks and works on paper from over the decades of Art, by National and International Fine Artist, David Bizzo.
The Rossmount Inn has a historical significance located outside of St. Andrews, New Brunswick in Chamcook NB., circa 1890, nestled at the bottom of Chamcook mountain. The Rossmount Inn, a 3-story, 18 guest room manor house, one time private home and now renowned as a culinary destination, is part of an 87 acre estate set between the forest and the sea.
Bizzo has installed 29 artworks in the Rossmount from over decades from various studios that he has had from London, England to Toronto to Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles. The artworks are a cross section of his painting styles and creative process. The oldest painting in this exhibition is a canvas, close to 5 x 6 feet, called “Black Frequency” painted in 1981 and exhibited at the New Brunswick Museum, that same year. Bizzo’s paintings dance back and forth from total abstraction to figurative abstraction of sumptuous nudes of acrylic paint acting like watercolour. His figurative works embrace the imagery of the “The Three Graces” referencing three goddesses in Greek mythology and the theological virtues, specifically faith, hope and charity. Paintings dedicated to “The Three Graces” can be found in the Bar area of the Rossmount.
